Publix Cold Spring

Publix debuted the second of five planned locations in Northern Kentucky on June 17.

Located at 5401 Alexandria Pike in Cold Spring, the 48,387‑square‑foot supermarket opened at 7 a.m., with the adjoining Publix Liquors following two hours later.

“We are thrilled to continue our growth across Northern Kentucky with a new location in Cold Spring,” said Jared Glover, media relations manager. “We look forward to delivering Publix’s legendary service and being active members in this vibrant community.”

Cold Springs is located near the Ohio state line and about 12 miles from Cincinnati, home to rival chain Kroger. The new store, the first Publix in Campbell County, has about 140 employees.

The region’s first Publix opened in March 2025 at the Triple Crown Shopping Center in Walton. Future stores are planned in Florence (Farmview Commons), Hebron (Shoppes at Hebron Pointe) and Independence.
