Mascot pecan expansion

Mascot Inc., a third‑generation family confectioner specializing in fresh‑shelled Southern pecans and handcrafted confections, has added 4,000 square feet of cooking space to its vertically integrated headquarters, expanding its overall footprint to almost 200,000 square feet.

“Mascot started as a small roadside stop back in 1955, and we’ve grown for over 70 years by listening to what our customers want,” said Kenny Tarver, president and CEO.

“Right now, that demand is centered on bold flavors and premium quality. This expansion allows us to honor that promise while reaching more retail and manufacturing partners than ever before.”

The expansion scales the company’s sugar panning capacity, accelerating production of flavored nut products including Praline Pecans, Cinnamon Glazed Pecans, Coconut Cashews and Butter Toffee Peanuts.

The project adds 5,000 pounds of production capacity per shift, enabling Mascot to fulfill bulk orders for national retail partners, private‑label clients and industrial ingredient buyers. The company handles everything from cleaning and shelling raw pecans to cooking and packaging under one roof, ensuring quality control and supply chain efficiency.

“Expanding our footprint isn’t just about meeting demand today; it’s about building something that lasts,” said Jake Tarver, COO of Mascot Inc. “As a family business, we’re always thinking ahead. This investment ensures Mascot continues to innovate and stay strong for the next generation of family leadership, and for the customers and partners who count on us.”
