Family Fare, VG’s Grocery and Martin’s Super Markets are reducing prices on grocery items throughout their stores heading into the summer grilling season, according to the three banners, all members of the C&S Wholesale Grocers family of companies.

At Family Fare and VG’s, the “New Lower Prices” – most of which are 6-15 percent lower than the original price – cover thousands of items. The reductions started in May and continue throughout the summer at Family Fare locations in Michigan, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota and at all VG’s locations in eastern Michigan.

Select items at both banners include backyard grilling and picnic essentials such as Our Family potato chips, Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce, Nathan’s Famous all-beef franks and Kingsford charcoal briquets; condiments including ketchup, yellow mustard, Our Family sweet & spicy mustard and Vlasic Frank’s RedHot pickle spears; and pantry staples such as Glad tall kitchen bags, Dawn dish detergent and Ziploc storage bags.

At Martin’s, the “More Lower Prices” – most of which are 5-25 percent lower than the original price – apply to hundreds of additional items and build on the thousands of items the banner lowered in 2025, according to the company. The reductions started earlier this month at all Martin’s locations in Indiana and Michigan and include summer road trip and picnic essentials such as Gatorade eight packs, Twizzlers, Snickers, Chex Mix and Pringles, along with pantry staples such as Glad tall kitchen bags, Vanity Fair napkins and Dixie paper plates and bowls.

The price reductions come as all three banners launch their signature Brat Shop, featuring a curated selection of bratwurst made fresh for store guests throughout the summer.

“We’re excited to bring back Brat Shop, now with the added benefit of additional value throughout the store,” said Brandon Pasch, SVP of merchandising for SpartanNash. “Family Fare is investing in lower prices on the products our shoppers love and the essentials they need for backyard grilling, summer get-togethers and fun for the whole season. This summer, we want our shoppers to come to Family Fare for the brats but stay for the savings.”

Pasch added that the Martin’s reductions reflect the company’s continued commitment to value.

“These ‘More Lower Prices’ build on last year’s reductions and reflect our continued investment in helping families in Indiana and Michigan enjoy great food all summer long while keeping more dollars in their wallet,” he said.

Price tags in every aisle call out the new value, with savings displayed to help store guests fill their carts while spending less. Shoppers can save more through each banner’s loyalty program – Family Fare Rewards, VG’s Rewards and the Martin’s Card – along with exclusive digital coupons, available at shopfamilyfare.com, shopvgs.com, martinsgroceriestogo.com or in each banner’s app.
