Wright's Market eGrowcery

Wright’s Market, a community‑rooted grocer, has relaunched its e‑commerce platform, powered by eGrowcery. The initiative, nicknamed “Wright’s Market E-Commerce 2.0,” aims to regain previous online sales levels while delivering a more expansive and inclusive shopping experience.

“We wanted a partner who was continuing to add the features and functionality required for a successful independent grocer experience,” said Jimmy Wright, owner of Wright’s Market.

“eGrowcery impressed us with their SNAP capabilities, and their ever‑expanding features designed to improve both in store and online shopper experiences from AI recipes with one‑click add to cart to an easily configurable front‑end experience. They also understand how critical customer service is to us, especially for the seniors and stay‑at‑home parents who rely on Wright’s every week.”

Wright’s Market selected eGrowcery for its combination of high‑tech design and high‑touch approach. The platform’s visual appeal, intuitive screens, and seamless integration with the store’s point‑of‑sale system from Retail Data Systems (RDS) enable a shopping journey tailored to each customer.

“The people behind the technology were just as impressive as the product,” Wright added. “There was a level of trust we hadn’t experienced with tech vendors before.”

Wright thanked the SEMTAC (SNAP EBT Modernization Technical Assistance Center) team at the National Grocers Association Foundation for their assistance with the USDA/FNS online SNAP transition.

“It’s inspiring to partner with a retailer like Wright’s Market and an industry leader like Jimmy Wright, that puts community and customer care first,” said Pat Hughes, CEO of eGrowcery. “Our platform is built to give grocers the tools they need to compete online without losing the local relationships that make them vital to their neighborhoods.”

As Wright’s Market relaunches its online platform, the team is focused on rebuilding momentum and community engagement through targeted promotions, consistent digital outreach and customer feedback loops. These efforts aim to raise e‑commerce sales to six percent of total business and to grow further from there.
