Oikos, the Danone-owned high-protein yogurt brand, is expanding its ready-to-drink protein shake lineup with two new flavors: Strawberry and Mocha Latte. The additions bring the shelf-stable shake line to five varieties, joining Chocolate, Vanilla and Salted Caramel.
Each shake delivers 30 grams of complete protein, 5 grams of prebiotic fiber and vitamins A and D, with 1 gram of total sugar, no added sugar and no artificial sweeteners or flavors, the company says. The Mocha Latte variety contains 95 milligrams of caffeine — roughly the equivalent of a cup of coffee — tapping into the growing “proffee” (protein plus coffee) trend.
“With the introduction of Strawberry and caffeine-boosted Mocha Latte, we’re expanding how and when people enjoy Oikos,” said Derek Neeley, VP of protein shakes at Danone USA.
Growing category
The launch comes as demand for ready-to-drink protein continues to surge. Nearly half of Americans regularly consume protein drinks, and 78 percent say they wish for more flavor options, according to data cited by the company.
Oikos first entered the RTD protein shake category in May 2025, positioning the line in part toward consumers using GLP-1 medications who are seeking high-protein, nutrient-dense options.
The Strawberry variety targets growing demand for fruit-forward protein products, while Mocha Latte is designed for morning energy and afternoon consumption occasions — extending usage beyond the traditional post-workout period.
The new flavors are available at retailers nationwide. Oikos is a brand of Danone USA, a Certified B Corporation.
