Wegmans Food Markets will hold a grand opening celebration Oct. 14 for its first Charlotte, North Carolina, store in the Ballantyne neighborhood at 11550 North Community House Road.
“We’ve put a lot of care into hiring and training our new team, and we’re looking for more enthusiastic candidates to join us before opening day,” said Store Manager Patrick McGuinness. “Construction on the new store is well underway, and we’re thrilled to begin the countdown to October 14 when we will welcome the community through our doors.”
The Ballantyne store will employ about 450 people in full‑ and part‑time positions. Full‑time roles are available throughout the store, including positions in sushi, pizza, restaurant foods, deli, cheese, seafood and bakery. Part‑time positions, including cashiers, are also open. The store will also offer a large selection of wine and beer.
