Meijer Own Brand fiber protein products

Meijer is launching more than 300 new products designed to help customers meet fiber and protein intake goals. The move aligns with nutrition trends that show fiber overtaking protein as a top consumer priority for 2026.

Current Dietary Reference Values recommend 25-38 grams of fiber per day for adults. Meijer said it is responding with accessible options that support digestive health and satiety.

More than 120 Meijer-exclusive products contain 5 grams of fiber or more per serving. More than 20 of those items fall under the True Goodness brand.

Meijer dietitians recommend several products for shoppers looking to increase fiber intake. Options include Meijer Whole Grain Oatmeal, True Goodness Organic Black Beans, Meijer Whole Wheat Pasta and Meijer Wheat Bran Flakes.

“Both fiber and protein are great ways to support everything from gut health to mental health, and provide steady energy,” said Don Sanderson, chief merchandising and marketing officer at Meijer. “It’s important to us at Meijer that we are offering our shoppers options that help them meet their health goals and are accessible on a budget, and that’s exactly what these products are designed to do.”

The retailer’s private label portfolio includes more than 700 items with 10 grams of protein or more per serving. The assortment spans more than 300 Fresh from Meijer products, 250 Meijer brand products, 50 Crafted Market by Meijer products, 53 True Goodness products and 130 items in the Frederik’s by Meijer premium line.

New items launching this year include Frederik’s by Meijer Sesame Protein Pasta Salad with 13 grams of protein per serving, Meijer Protein Puffs Snacks with 12 grams of protein per serving and True Goodness by Meijer Grass-Fed & Finished Double Smoked Beef Sticks with 10 grams of protein per serving.

Beyond grocery offerings, Meijer provides virtual connections to registered dietitians through its Nutrition by Meijer program. The service offers personalized guidance on increasing fiber and protein intake.

Meijer is a privately-owned, family-operated retailer serving customers at more than 500 supercenters, grocery stores, neighborhood markets and express locations throughout the Midwest. The company employs more than 70,000 team members and donates at least 6 percent of its profit to strengthen communities.
