Grupo Bimbo, the world’s largest baking company, has been recognized for the 10th straight year by Ethisphere as one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies.
The 2026 class includes 138 companies from 17 countries and 40 industries.
Ethisphere evaluates companies through its proprietary Ethics Quotient methodology, assessing ethics and compliance programs, organizational culture and governance practices.
Ignacio Stepancic, global compliance leader at Grupo Bimbo, said the decade-long streak reaffirms the company’s commitment to continue strengthening a culture based on ethics, integrity and transparency.
“We understand that acting with integrity goes beyond compliance: it means doing and saying what is right at all times, in alignment with our values, our culture and the public commitments we have made globally,” he said.
The company traces its ethics framework to a founding principle it calls the “Golden Rule” – treating everyone, including employees, customers, suppliers, investors and communities, with respect, fairness, trust and care.
Founded in Mexico and operating in 93 countries across the Americas, Europe, Asia and Africa, Grupo Bimbo runs 249 bakeries and plants and more than 1,700 sales centers, supported by a direct distribution network of more than 54,000 routes.
The company employs more than 153,000 people and reported sales of more than $22 billion. Its product portfolio spans sliced and artisan bread, buns, pastries, cakes, cookies, tortillas, flatbreads and salty snacks.
