The Western Association of Food Chains (WAFC) elected new leadership in May, as well as added new directors to its board.
The 2025-26 WAFC officers are:
- President – Kevin Lovell, SVP of operations at Albertsons/Safeway NorCal;
- VP – Rebecca Calvin, SVP and CMO for Stater Bros. Markets;
- Treasurer – Wendy Coldesina, VP, general merchandise manager for Costco Wholesale; and
- Secretary – Mike Johnson, VP merchandising for King Soopers – City Market.
The 2025-26 WAFC advisors are:
- Paul Gianetto – Raley’s;
- Greg McNiff – Stater Bros. Markets;
- Mike Stigers – Wakefern Food Corp.; and
- Kevin Curry – Albertsons/Vons/Pavilions.
New additions to the WAFC Board of Directors are:
- Fidel Banuelos, director of store operations, Food4Less/FoodsCo;
- Hilda Doushgounian, regional VP of operations – SoCal, Sprouts Farmers Markets;
- Kendra Doyel, president of Food4Less/FoodsCo;
- Moises Gonzalez, VP of store operations, Northgate Gonzalez Market; and
- Tim Ryan, national category director, Albertsons Companies.
The WAFC board also consists of:
