Super One Foods recently held a grand opening celebration for a replacement store in the northern Minnesota town of Walker.
Parent company Miner’s Inc. broke ground on the project, which represents a $15 million investment, in summer 2023. The new location, about double the size of the previous one, was built behind the former store.
Super One Foods has been a part of the Walker community/Leech Lake area since 2006.
Mark McKenna, store manager of the Walker Super One Foods, expressed his appreciation to customers and employees.
“We will continue to serve Walker and the surrounding areas with the same excellent service we’ve always provided,” McKenna said.
“Our team is incredibly thankful for our customers’ patience during construction, their ongoing patronage and unwavering support. Every customer – and especially every employee – deserves this exciting change. We have an amazing group of employees who are proud to be here for all of our customers.”
