Verde Farms, an organic beef brand, is expanding its partnership with Albertsons Companies with new placements in the retailer’s Seattle Division. Beginning this fall, Verde’s 93/7 ground beef, ribeye steaks and strip steaks will be available in 180 stores in Washington, Idaho and Alaska under the Safeway, Carrs and Albertsons banners.

The expansion marks the Burlington, Massachusetts-based company’s first major retail presence in the Pacific Northwest outside its national distribution partnership with Amazon Fresh. Earlier this year, Verde expanded into Albertsons’ Southern and Mountain West divisions, bringing the brand to a total of 691 stores in 22 states.

“Our partnership with Albertsons continues to grow stronger year after year, and we’re incredibly proud to expand our relationship with one of the country’s most recognized and respected retailers,” said Brad Johnson, CEO of Verde Farms. “The Pacific Northwest has long been an important market for Verde, and this expansion gives us the opportunity to bring our organic, nutritious and great-tasting beef to even more consumers in a region we’ve been eager to reach.”

Verde Farms, which calls itself the No. 1 organic beef brand in the U.S., has spent more than two decades in the better-for-you beef category. Its products are organic, 100 percent grass-fed and finished, humanely raised, verified regenerative, free from antibiotics and added hormones, non-GMO and pasture-raised, according to the company.
