BJ’s Wholesale Club will open its Fort Worth location May 8, marking another step in the company’s expansion into Texas.
Located at 7241 Harris Parkway, the store is the latest BJ’s to open in the state. The on-site BJ’s Gas station, which opened April 23, offers fuel and potential extra savings through BJ’s Fuel Saver Program.
BJ’s members save on fresh foods, produce, full-service deli items, fresh bakery goods, household essentials, home décor, pet supplies, toys and consumer electronics.
“We’re excited to deliver unbeatable value to families in Fort Worth,” said Kayron Perkins, club manager in Fort Worth. “Our members are going to love the convenience BJ’s offers while saving up to 25 percent off grocery store prices every day.”
Supporting Tarrant Area Food Bank
For more than 15 years, BJ’s has worked with Feeding America and its network of food banks, providing more than 165 million meals for those in need.
In Fort Worth, BJ’s is partnering with Tarrant Area Food Bank by making regular donations of produce, meat and dairy products.
“We’re thrilled to welcome BJ’s Wholesale Club as a partner and are thankful for their support,” said Julie Butner, president and CEO of the food bank. “We look forward to working with BJ’s as we alleviate hunger and improve health in our communities.”
Investing in local schools
In addition to the food bank partnership, BJ’s has awarded two grants to support students in the Crowley Independent School District.
A $100,000 grant to Tarrant Area Food Bank will establish two school markets in Crowley ISD middle schools, where students can access perishable and nonperishable food for their families. A second donation of $20,000, made to Crowley ISD, will fund hygiene supplies for students in need.
