Ahold Delhaize USA has expanded its partnership with Fiserv to offer Pay by Bank on its omnichannel platform, giving online customers the option to pay directly from their bank accounts.
The solution is live on the e-commerce websites and mobile apps of three Ahold Delhaize USA brands – The Giant Co., Giant Food and Stop & Shop.
Customers enroll through a secure authentication experience that links their bank accounts for future purchases, eliminating the need to manually enter or store credit card details. Since launching in late 2025, tens of thousands of customers have enrolled.
“Pay by Bank provides a simple way for customers to pay directly from their bank accounts, creating a seamless checkout experience and increased choice for the customer in terms of how they prefer to pay,” said Keith Nicks, chief commercial and digital officer at Ahold Delhaize USA.
The integration serves the customer experience and the retailer’s bottom line. By offering an alternative to traditional card payments, participating brands can streamline payment operations and deliver greater cost efficiencies across digital transactions as online grocery order volumes continue to grow.
