Aldi U.S. and Instacart (Nasdaq: CART) have launched a redesigned Aldi website at aldi.us and an updated mobile app, powered by Instacart’s Storefront Pro enterprise commerce platform and fulfillment solutions.

The enhanced digital experience offers personalized recommendations, improved product discovery and shoppable recipes for meal planning.

Instacart, which began powering fulfillment for Aldi U.S. in 2019, is now the retailer’s exclusive partner across the website and app, providing delivery and curbside pickup in as fast as an hour.

“Aldi is known for offering their customers incredible value, and we’re proud to partner with them to make sure that value translates into their digital experience,” said Ryan Hamburger, VP of commercial partnerships at Instacart.

“By combining Storefront Pro and fulfillment into one integrated platform, we’re helping Aldi U.S. scale faster while preserving everything that makes their brand special.”

Dave Rinaldo, chief operating officer at Aldi U.S., said shoppers define value in more ways than one – often by saving both time and money.

“As customers look for more flexibility, our partnership with Instacart enhances the Aldi online experience, giving the 1-in-3 U.S. households that shop our aisles another convenient way to get their groceries when and how they want,” he said.

Aldi and Instacart partnered in 2017 to offer same-day delivery through the Instacart Marketplace. The relationship has since expanded to include several omnichannel solutions.

In 2024, the companies expanded their relationship to include Instacart’s Connected Stores technologies across Aldi South Group stores in the U.S., including In-Store mode and Carrot Tags electronic shelf labels.

Instacart’s Storefront Pro platform unifies a retailer’s website, mobile app and in-store digital touchpoints into one platform, combining artificial intelligence-powered discovery with integrated fulfillment.

Aldi joins more than 380 grocery retailers that use Instacart’s Storefront technology to power their digital commerce presence.

Based in Batavia, Illinois, Aldi is America’s fastest-growing grocer, operating more than 2,600 stores nationwide.

Instacart partners with more than 2,200 retail banners representing nearly 100,000 stores across North America.
