As graduation season ramps up across Arizona, Food City is positioning its 45 stores as a single destination for families looking to celebrate without breaking the budget, the Hispanic-format grocer announced.a

From made-from-scratch graduation cakes and party platters to gift cards and festive supplies, the Bashas’-owned banner is rolling out a suite of promotions designed to help customers honor graduates of all ages.

“From fresh flowers, gift cards, and sweet treats to catered food and custom cakes for graduation parties, we’re proud to offer everything families need to create special, stress-free moments,” said Carrie Strait, Food City’s brand manager. “We love helping our customers honor the people and milestones that matter most.”

Cake deals and catering options

Beginning May 13, Food City stores across the state will offer decorated made-from-scratch graduation cakes in a variety of flavors, including Tres Leches. Customers can save $10 on any half-sheet graduation cake or $15 on a full-sheet cake.

For those planning larger gatherings, the grocer also offers affordable party platters, barbecue boxes and budget-friendly catered food options. Party supplies, leis, piñatas, festive favors and gift cards for graduates are also available.

Shoppers can get $5 off instantly when they purchase $25 in participating gift cards for graduates, including options from Starbucks, Uber Eats, and the Sony PlayStation Store.

Delivery promotions

Food City is also offering free DoorDash delivery through May 31, using promo code FOODCITYFREE. Similarly, free Instacart delivery is available through the same date on orders of $35 or more with the same promo code.

Locations across Arizona

The events and offerings are available at all 45 Food City locations across Arizona, including Avondale, Casa Grande, Chandler, Cottonwood, Douglas, El Mirage, Glendale, Lake Havasu, Mesa, Nogales, Parker, Phoenix, San Luis, Sierra Vista, Tempe, Tucson and Yuma.

Food City operates as a Hispanic market, offering traditional Mexican foods and ingredients alongside conventional grocery items. The banner is known for specialty offerings including Hispanic pastries and made-in-store tortillas. Food City is a brand under Bashas’, a division of The Raley’s Companies.
