Brookshire Grocery Co., parent company of Brookshire’s and Super 1 Foods, recently celebrated the grand re-openings of three remodeled stores in northwest Louisiana.
The renovated locations are at 5828 Line Ave. and 9250 Mansfield Road, both in Shreveport, and 1870 Airline Drive, Bossier City.
BGC leaders, city representatives and residents gathered for ribbon-cutting ceremonies at each location. The company’s 13-foot-tall motorized Big Grocery Cart appeared at all three events.
The full-service supermarkets feature refreshed shopping environments, with a focus on customer service, fresh meat and produce and value for customers.
“These remodels reflect our ongoing commitment to investing in our stores, our employee-partners and the communities we serve,” said Jerry LeClair, interim CEO of BGC.
“We are proud to continue enhancing the shopping experience for our customers in Shreveport and Bossier City while supporting the local organizations that make these communities stronger.”
To mark the occasions, BGC presented $1,000 donations to the Shreveport and Bossier City Police and Fire Departments.
The company also donated $1,000 each to Friends of Friends, a family resource center dedicated to supporting communities, and the Junior League of Shreveport-Bossier’s Red Apron Pantry.
