Busch’s Fresh Food Market is updating its catering menu to offer an expanded selection of hot foods, contemporary catering trays and artisanal baked goods from the store’s Bakehouse in Clinton, Michigan.
The new menu, available May 4 in stores and online, also will feature themed meals such as barbecue, Italian and Mexican dishes, along with fresh sushi trays.
All 16 stores of the family-owned supermarket chain in southeastern Michigan will offer the catering options in time for graduation gatherings and summer party season.
Quality ingredients, chef recipes
Joanne Zlotorzynski, Busch’s director of foodservice, said the new menu was built around high-quality ingredients and chef-developed recipes.
“Whether you are looking for a themed Italian meal, make-your-own-sandwiches, grazing charcuterie offerings or a wide selection of hors d’oeuvres, we have you covered,” she said.
“Our aim is to make our guests’ get togethers as easy and as delicious as possible this season and for them to feel proud of the food on their table.”
Highlights of menu
The expanded menu includes Italian dishes such as chicken piccata, house-made lasagna and baked penne pesto pasta.
Pit master favorites include low and slow barbecue brisket, pulled pork and chicken, with sides such as white cheddar mac and cheese and Carolina coleslaw.
Among the chef-inspired dishes are a roast beef tenderloin platter, maple-glazed salmon and herb-roasted chicken, paired with popular sides like twice-baked potatoes and garlic asparagus.
The menu also includes fresh house-made sushi platters and a fiesta menu featuring a taco bar with all the fixings.
A mashed potato bar offers a pan of mashed potatoes with toppings such as sour cream, garlic butter, green onion, cheese, chopped broccoli and bacon bits.
Breakfast pastry trays are available, including a healthy “Rise and Shine” option with fruit, yogurt and granola.
The menu also boasts a range of sandwiches, deli trays and artisanal breads, plus party dessert platters featuring house-made cookies and dessert options such as cannoli, biscotti, macarons and cake pops.
Supporting Michigan businesses
Busch’s supports local businesses through the new menu. One of the charcuterie trays will feature made-in-Michigan goat cheese, brie and cheddar.
Mediterranean Bites Platters are being offered in partnership with Beirut Bakery, a Redford-based business offering authentic Middle Eastern food.
