H Mart, the largest Asian supermarket chain in the United States, opened its new Dublin, Calif., store March 26 at 7884 Dublin Blvd. The Dublin Boulevard location is the fourth H Mart in the Bay Area, joining two existing stores in San Jose and one in San Francisco.

The store fills roughly 27,237 square feet that previously housed an Orchard Supply Hardware, with an 8,552-square-foot food hall section that includes outdoor seating and a small play area. Plans for the conversion have been in the works since 2022. The store is open daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

“We know our community has been waiting for this moment, and we’re excited to finally celebrate H Mart’s opening together,” said Dublin Mayor Sherry Hu. “This store brings new energy, new experiences and a place for residents to gather, explore and enjoy. I have a feeling it’s going to become one of my go-to stops.”

The grand opening drew a large crowd, with a line wrapping down the block of the Dublin Retail Center. A dance performance was held before the doors opened to the public.

The store features an extensive range of fresh produce, meats, seafood, pantry staples, frozen foods and health and beauty products, with direct sourcing from local farms and suppliers.

Food Hall

The new Dublin location’s food hall features six dining concepts: Oh K-Dog & Egg Toast, serving Korean-style corn dogs and toast; Kyodong Noodles, Korean-style Chinese cuisine; Chodang, Korean-style soft tofu specialties; BBQ Chicken, Korean-style fried and roasted chicken; Daeho, authentic Korean cuisine; and Tous Les Jours, a French-Asian bakery and desserts.

“H Mart is excited to bring an authentic taste of Asia to your neighborhood, and we hope our customers share in our enthusiasm,” said H Mart President Brian Kwon. “Our market is all about celebrating the richness and variety of Asian cuisine, making it easier than ever to find the flavors you love, right here at home.”

H Mart’s debut in Dublin marks the chain’s first foothold in the East Bay. The company also plans to begin construction on a multi-level flagship store in Fremont later in 2026.

H Mart operates approximately 100 stores across 18 states and generates about $1 billion in annual sales. The chain opened its first store in 1982 in Woodside, Queens. Customers can find information on events, promotions and sales at hmart.com.
