Natural Grocers will open its 15th Oregon location July 1 at 448 OR‑99W in McMinnville.
Grand opening festivities begin at 8:15 a.m. with a $2,500 donation to the Yamhill Community Action Partnership (YCAP) Food Bank, followed by an introduction to local muralist Natalie Fletcher, who created a large‑scale mural above the main entrance, and a ribbon‑cutting ceremony with the McMinnville Area Chamber of Commerce.
“McMinnville has a strong sense of community and a deep connection to food, agriculture and wellness, which aligns with who we are as a family‑operated grocer,” said Raquel Isely, VP of marketing at Natural Grocers.
“Residents value where their food comes from, from local farms to regional producers across the Willamette Valley, and that is reflected in how they shop and eat. Our stores offer convenient access to affordable organic and natural groceries of the highest caliber, free nutritional education and a welcoming environment.”

The first 150 customers on opening morning will receive mystery gift cards valued from $5-500. The first 500 shoppers will receive a free hand‑crafted Ecuadorian carryall bag. A prize wheel will run from noon-5 p.m. A sweepstakes from July 1‑15 offers prizes including an Aventon e‑bike (valued at $1,400) and a $500 Natural Grocers gift card.
From July 1‑31, shoppers can find up to 50 percent off select products, including organic strawberries ($2.99 per pound), Natural Grocers brand organic cheese shreds and slices ($2.99 each), bacon and bacon alternatives ($2.99 per package), GT’s Synergy Kombucha ($2.79 per 16 oz) and Painterland Sisters organic skyr yogurt ($1.99 each).
{N}power members receive exclusive pricing July 1‑31 on items such as Contented Hen select free‑range eggs ($1.99 per dozen), Thousand Hills 100 percent grass‑fed ground beef ($7.99 per 16 oz), Natural Grocers brand organic whole milk yogurts ($4.49 per 32 oz), organic avocados (99 cents each) and Truly Grass‑Fed natural creamy butter bars ($4.99 per 8 oz).
The store features sustainable building materials and 100 percent LED lighting. The exterior mural by Natalie Fletcher, owner of Parlor on 3rd, reflects Yamhill County’s landscapes and agriculture.
“I wanted a lasting reflection of how beautiful this area is and how proud I am to live here,” Fletcher said. “Each season brings lush native flowers and plants that highlight the essential role of pollinators. I also wanted to capture the breathtaking sunsets of the coastal range.”
Through the Bring Your Own Bag program, Natural Grocers donates five cents to YCAP Food Bank for every customer trip using reusable bags.
“Yamhill Community Action Partnership Food Bank is proud to partner with Natural Grocers in support of local hunger relief efforts throughout Yamhill County,” said Tyler Fuller, manager of the food bank.
“Through this partnership, Natural Grocers is providing both a generous monetary donation and an ongoing food rescue program that will help ensure nutritious food remains in our local communities and reaches neighbors facing food insecurity. Together, these agencies help distribute more than 2 million pounds of food annually, which is equivalent to approximately 1.6 million meals for local individuals and families.”
