Springdale, Arkansas-based Harps Food Stores has named two new district managers, one of whom will oversee the company’s recently acquired locations in western Tennessee and Kentucky.
Kyle Miller’s district includes the 18 stores, which are in Fulton, Kentucky, and the Tennessee communities of Alamo, Bells, Brownsville, Covington, Dyersburg, Halls, Henderson, Humboldt, Jackson, Millington, Newbern, Somerville, Tiptonville and Trenton.
The other new district manager is Allie Parker, whose territory will include the company’s locations in northwest Arkansas.
Miller began his career in 2002 as a part-time student stocker in Calico Rock, Arkansas. He received multiple promotions early in his career within the grocery department before being named manager of the store in Batesville in 2010.
In 2020, he was elevated to grocery merchandiser, followed two years later by a promotion to senior grocery merchandiser.
“I am confident that his experience, work ethic and leadership will make a significant impact in this new role” said Brian Zamzow, senior district manager. “I look forward to working with Kyle in his new position and seeing the continued success.”
Parker most recently served as store leader of the Harps at Mission Boulevard and Crossover Road in Fayetteville.
“Allie is a true team builder, and throughout her career she has developed many strong leaders. She is always available and willing to help others and has built solid relationships across our company,” Zamzow said.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Allie and know that she will continue to shine in her new role.”
Harps announced in March it was acquiring the stores in Kentucky in Tennessee from Dyer Foods.
The acquisition is the largest in a string of independent grocery deals the employee-owned retailer has completed over the past year, pushing its store count to 177 across eight states: Arkansas, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma and Tennessee.
Harps Food Stores was founded by Harvard and Floy Harp in 1930 in Springfield.
