Save A Lot has named the first round of winners in its Hometown Heroes program, a nomination‑based initiative recognizing people and organizations making a meaningful impact in their communities. Each winner received a $500 Save A Lot gift card.
“At Save A Lot, we believe in shining a light on the people who strengthen our communities through acts of kindness and commitment,” said Sarah Griffin, VP of communications at Save A Lot.

“Our Hometown Heroes inspire us daily, and we’re honored to celebrate their contributions with a small token of appreciation. Their stories remind us that good things are happening all around us.”
The winners and their plans include:
- Ashlee Wethington – volunteer firefighter in Munfordville, Kentucky, who will use her gift card to further support her community.
- Elizabeth Freeman – Elmwood Blessing Box in Westland, Michigan, who will continue helping neighbors.
- Karri Dumas – Cadillac, Michigan, who will support the Halloween House of Cadillac.
- Jacqueline Bromley – Dade City, Florida, who will support students at Pasco High School.
