ECRS has enhanced artificial intelligence functionality for its e-commerce solution, CATAPULT WebCart, using CATAPULT Cognition Artemis, an AI solution.
Artemis is designed to provide independent retailers with consumer personalization at a fraction of the cost. By leveraging the synergistic potential of Artemis and WebCart, retailers can offer a curated browsing experience similar to scrolling through a favorite social media platform.
“Independent retailers are starting to learn the importance of incorporating AI into their technology stack,” said Pete Catoe, ECRS founder and CEO.
“I’m excited to see that our team of artificial intelligence experts have made this a practical solution that can be easily turned on, requiring little to no setup from the retailer. Retailers are already seeing an increase in online basket size because of Artemis’ targeted recommendations.
“We look forward to continually supporting the community of independent retailers in having a competitive edge with practical AI solutions.”
Key features of the AI enhancement
- Homepage recommendations (“Top Picks For You”) – Displays products based on the purchase history and habits of each shopper and similar users, providing a personalized shopping experience. Artemis also uses machine learning AI to learn shopper behavior and adapt to each user over time, improving the accuracy of the products it recommends on the homepage.
- Coupon recommendations (“Digital Coupons For You”) – Recommends digital coupons tailored to each shopper’s previous purchases. Artemis integrates with CoupDog and Inmar to make recommendations for each user by using its machine learning algorithms. Shoppers can clip coupons on the WebCart platform and use them in-store or online.
- Promotional recommendations (“Deals For You”) – Highlights items on sale that are most likely to be preferred by shoppers, increasing basket size and moving volume. These promotional recommendations are refreshed daily to showcase the latest deals.
- “Similar or Related Items” – Suggests products related to the item being viewed, enhancing the shopping experience with relevant alternatives.
- “More To Consider” – Curates items typically bought together, making it easy for shoppers to add complementary products to their carts.
These advanced features are powered by Artemis’ machine learning algorithms, which analyze shopper patterns and preferences to provide superior recommendations. The longer the system is used, the better it gets at suggesting items.
