King’s Hawaiian launched a new product line of four Hawaiian-inspired BBQ Sauces at its South by Southwest interactive media lunch, hosted by Mark Dacascos, this month. Hawaii native Dacascos is an actor, director, martial artist and chairman of Food Network’s hit show, “Iron Chef America.”
“At King’s Hawaiian, we take pride in our rich heritage of delivering irresistible Sweet Bread that truly embodies the Aloha spirit. Since the 1950s, King’s Hawaiian has brought a taste of the islands to consumers,” said Erick Dickens, VP of marketing. “We are thrilled to announce this unique line of King’s Hawaiian BBQ Sauces inspired by our Hawaiian roots, especially on a stage as prominent as South by Southwest. We’re pleased to provide barbecue enthusiasts with the opportunity to liven up their favorite family recipes with a twist of Hawaiian flavor.”
The four Hawaiian-inspired sauces include:
• Original Sweet Pineapple: Delivers bold barbecue flavor with a sweet, pineapple bite.
• Smoked Bacon: Made with chunks of rich smoky bacon in a tangy sweet sauce.
• Big Island Lava: Bold red Jalapeños, spicy island flavor and a hint of sweetness.
• Kona Coffee: A light blend of real Kona coffee designed to enhance the natural flavors of barbecued meat.
All four King’s Hawaiian BBQ Sauces are available at KingsHawaiian.com and will be available in select retail locations this summer.
