Brad Holt and Eric Hozouri

Food City has promoted Brad Holt and Eric Hozouri to district manager, joining the senior staff executive leadership team.

They succeed Steven Jones and Brian Hemminger, who have advanced to new roles – Jones as senior director of produce and floral operations and Hemminger as senior director of foodservice and Starbucks operations.

“Brad and Eric are exceptional mentors and leaders who set a strong example for their associates and for the company as a whole,” said Steven C. Smith, Food City president and CEO.

“Highly respected and admired by their teammates, they are deeply committed to their customers and providing exceptional service. They are also an asset to their local communities.”

Holt brings more than 30 years of experience to the role. He began his career at Food City in 1996 as a courtesy clerk and progressed through assistant store manager and store manager roles, leading six stores and serving as a grocery supervisor and back‑up district manager.

He will now oversee 11 stores in the Knoxville Division, covering a region from Lenoir City to Cookeville, Tennessee.

Holt was a finalist in FMI’s Store Manager of the Year Awards (2023) and received Food City’s Jack C. Smith Store Manager of the Year Award in 2025. He serves on the Chamber of Commerce in Cookeville and has an associate degree from Roane State Community College.

Hozouri began his career at age 16 as a courtesy clerk and cashier, advancing through assistant store manager and store manager positions. He joined Food City in 2014 through an acquisition and most recently served as special projects manager.

He now oversees 12 stores in the Chattanooga Division, spanning the greater Chattanooga area to Winchester, Tennessee.

Hozouri has been nominated for FMI’s Store Manager of the Year Award, is a four‑time President’s Club winner and received the Dale Carnegie Achievement Award.

He serves on the board of directors for the Cleveland Chamber of Commerce, is a member of the Bradley Sunrise Rotary Club and has supported United Way of the Ocoee Region and the Greater Cleveland Soccer Association.
