Janesville, Wisconsin-based Woodman’s Food Markets has announced a planned executive leadership transition designed to support the employee-owned grocer’s continued growth, organizational stability and long-term strategic vision.
Clint Woodman, who previously served as president, has been appointed CEO. He has dedicated his career to the family-led business and has more than three decades of experience with the organization.
His understanding of the company’s operations, values and customer-first philosophy will guide Woodman Food Markets’ strategic vision with a focus on growth, innovation and long-term success.
Succeeding Woodman as president is Kristin Popp. Previously EVP, Popp has nearly three decades of experience within the organization and has held leadership roles in multiple areas of the business.
As president, she will lead the execution of the company’s strategic priorities, oversee day-to-day operations and strengthen relationships with team members, customers, vendors and business partners.
Board leadership transition
As part of this transition, former CEO Phil Woodman has assumed the role of chairman of the board. He will provide strategic guidance and oversight while supporting the executive leadership team and helping ensure continuity of the company’s long-term vision.

Popp said she is honored to serve as president of the company, which operates stores throughout Wisconsin and Illinois,
