Tops Friendly Markets has completed a $2 million remodel of its 67,279‑square‑foot store at 150 Niagara St. in Tonawanda, New York, marking the company’s 51st major renovation in six years.
The effort was part of Tops’ capital improvement project, which has included more than $100 million invested in its three‑state footprint.
The renovation included a new exterior storefront with updated awnings, building signage, fresh paint and a parking lot and landscaping refresh.
Inside, the store features enhanced décor, new interior paint and LED lighting, complete center store reset and renovated restrooms.
Tops will celebrate the grand reopening with a ribbon cutting June 2, welcoming customers, residents and local officials for a store tour.
“This remodel reflects our continued commitment to our customers and the communities we serve,” said Ron Ferri, president.
“By reinvesting in another store in Tonawanda, we’re delivering a more modern, convenient shopping experience while continuing to offer great value.”

Customers will experience upgrades across key departments, including:
- Expanded produce department with new cases and display fixtures;
