Harry’s Fresh Foods, a Portland, Oregon-based manufacturer of premium refrigerated and frozen soups, entrées, sides and desserts, has expanded its operations with the opening of a new 200,000-s.f. production facility at 2960 Armory Drive in Nashville, Tennessee. The facility debuted Thursday and will eventually employ more than 300 workers.
“We are now among the first to manufacture on both sides of our country. Opening this Nashville production facility enables us to offer the same high-quality products with less distance to travel, improves efficiency and available delivered shelf life of the company’s fresh, natural and organic products,” said Jamie Colbourne, CEO of Harry’s Fresh Foods, which is a subsidiary of JGC Foods Co.
“It’s important for our city’s economic development to continue to attract companies like Harry’s Fresh Foods to Nashville,” said Nashville Mayor Megan Barry. “Harry’s Fresh Foods is a well established Northwest brand making high-quality products. Having them in Nashville benefits their retail and commercial customers in the East, as well as increases our Middle Tennessee workforce.”
The Nashville facility will produce branded and private label products for club, retail, industrial and foodservice customers. Harry’s Fresh Foods offers flexible manufacturing capabilities and uses fresh ingredients that are sourced locally whenever possible. Products include desserts, soups, chilies, sauces, entrees and sides, frozen foods and gluten-free, organic, vegetarian and vegan choices, all scratch-made and cooked in small batches, according to the company.
