Anne Feder, SVP of client growth at eGrowcery, has been appointed to the board of directors of Women Grocers of America (WGA).
Feder brings experience helping independent retailers use digital commerce and data-driven engagement to drive growth and strengthen community connections. She leads eGrowcery’s client growth organization, partnering with independent retailers in the United States and internationally to launch and optimize unified commerce platforms that integrate online shopping, store operations and marketing.
eGrowcery CEO Patrick Hughes said Feder’s appointment underscores the company’s commitment to the independent grocery channel and to developing the next generation of leaders.
“Anne is a fierce competitor and a wonderful leader,” Hughes said. “Her appointment to the WGA Board underscores the commitment to the independent grocery channel and to developing the next generation of leaders.”
Chelsea Matzen, VP of the NGA Foundation, said Feder has been a visible and compelling voice for independent grocers, particularly on using technology to deepen relationships with shoppers and create more resilient businesses.
“Anne has been a visible and compelling voice for independent grocers, particularly when it comes to using technology to deepen relationships with shoppers and create more resilient businesses,” Matzen said.
“Her understanding of how digital platforms can support local operators, combined with her commitment to mentoring women at every stage of their careers, makes her an ideal addition to our board. We are thrilled to have her leadership and perspective helping to guide WGA’s programs in the years ahead.”
The Women Grocers of America (WGA) is a professional development network supported by the National Grocers Association (NGA) Foundation dedicated to advancing women in independent grocery. WGA provides education, networking and leadership development for women across all areas of the independent grocery industry, from store-level operators to senior executives and owners.
Feder said she is honored to join WGA’s board at a time when many independents are redefining how they serve their communities.
“Women Grocers of America has become a powerful catalyst for connection and growth in our industry, and I’ve seen first-hand how its programs and peer networks can change the trajectory of a career,” Feder said.
“I’m excited to work alongside new WGA Chair Kristie Maurer and the rest of the board to expand access to leadership development, elevate the voices of women operators and executives and ensure that independent grocers have the tools and support they need to thrive in a rapidly changing marketplace.”
