Natural Grocers will open a new store April 29 in Rock Springs, Wyoming, marking the retailer’s third location in the state.
The celebration will begin at 8:15 a.m. with a $2,500 donation presentation to the Food Bank of Sweetwater County, followed by an official ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Rock Springs Chamber of Commerce, community leaders and store crew. Doors open at 8:27

Grand opening celebrations run from April 29 through May 31 with savings of up to 50 percent off on select premium products. The first 150 customers on opening day will receive mystery gift cards valued between $5 and $500, and the first 500 shoppers will get a hand-crafted Ecuadorian drawstring backpack valued at $30. A prize wheel runs from noon to 5 p.m. on opening day, and a sweepstakes running April 29-May 13 offers prizes including an Aventon e-bike valued at $1,400 and a $500 Natural Grocers gift card.
{N}power members will receive exclusive pricing through June 30 on items such as Contented Hen Select Free-Range Eggs ($1.99 per dozen), USDA-certified organic avocados (99 cents each) and Mary’s Non-GMO Whole Chicken ($9.99 each).
Natural Grocers will support the Food Bank of Sweetwater County through its Bring Your Own Bag program, donating five cents for every shopping trip in which customers use reusable bags.
“The Food Bank of Sweetwater County is grateful for the partnership with Natural Grocers and their commitment to supporting local families facing food insecurity,” said Kathy Siler, executive director of the Food Bank of Sweetwater County. “Last fiscal year, we served 4,513 individuals and supported 10,646 pantry visits by Sweetwater County residents.”
The store features sustainable building elements including non-toxic building materials and 100 percent LED lighting. It will offer Natural Grocers’ standard assortment including 100 percent organic produce, pasture-based dairy, free-range eggs, non-GMO prepackaged bulk goods, humanely sourced meats and more than 5,000 vitamins and supplements. A Nutritional Health Coach will be available onsite.
