Tops Markets Moolahville

Tops Friendly Markets is rolling out MoolahVille, a new rewards experience running through May 23 across all 147 store locations.

The program lets shoppers earn “Moolah” coins through everyday purchases and redeem them for unlimited $10 rewards cards, with an online component offering additional prizes including free groceries for a year.

“MoolahVille might be a fun, imaginary place — but it will all add up to serious, real-life savings,” said Ron Ferri, president of Tops.

“Our team has been designing and building on MoolahVille for a while, so I’m excited for shoppers to explore it and discover all the ways it will help them save on essential everyday items. My favorite part is that the online platform was created to give customers the chance to win prizes like free groceries for a year and help to provide meals for neighbors in need.”

The program works on two levels. In-store, shoppers earn 10 coins every time they spend $50 or more in a single trip. They also earn one to five additional coins each time they purchase select items identified by special color-coded shelf tags using their Tops BonusPlus card. Once a shopper accumulates 100 coins, they can redeem them at checkout for a $10 rewards card — with no limit on the number of cards earned. Coins can be earned through May 23 and redeemed through May 30. Rewards cards are valid on shopping trips through June 13.

The digital layer at MoolahVille.com adds a second engagement track. Every time a customer shops and spends $10 or more, they earn one online game key that unlocks chances to win Tops e-gift cards, free product e-coupons, sweepstakes entries for free groceries for a year and local meal donations for neighbors in need. Weekly digital doorbusters are also available through QR codes found in-store or in the weekly ad.

“We’re always looking for new ways to stay ahead of trends and bring meaningful value to our customers,” Ferri added. “We also built MoolahVille with future growth opportunities in mind – it’s an experience we can continue to enhance, add features to, and find new ways for our shoppers to engage with for years to come.”

Shoppers can track their Moolah balance on receipts and the Tops mobile app.

Headquartered in Williamsville, New York, Tops operates 147 grocery stores across New York, Pennsylvania and Vermont with more than 14,000 associates. The retailer is part of the Northeast Grocery family of brands.
