H-E-B

H-E-B finalized a land purchase of more than 600 acres in Valley View, Texas, where the San Antonio-based retailer plans to build facilities in multiple phases to support its supply chain operations.

Situated along Interstate 35 and E. Lone Oak Road, the property in Cooke County is about 60 miles north of Fort Worth. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

With the project still in the early planning stages, there is no timeline for construction.

Once in operation, the facilities will expand and build upon H-E-B’s supply chain operations, allowing the company to better serve North and West Texas.

“Buying this property marks the first step in developing a master-planned campus that will strengthen our ability to serve more Texans,” said Carson Landsgard, chief supply chain officer for H-E-B.

“This project reinforces our commitment to communities across the state and will generate more local job opportunities in the years ahead.”

There are no immediate plans for construction there, and details will be shared as plans develop. The terms of that deal also were not disclosed.

The largest privately held employer in Texas, H-E-B continues to grow its business across all areas of the company, maintaining its push as an economic driver for Texas.

H-E-B, which celebrates its 120th anniversary this year, operates more than 455 stores with more than 175,000 employees in Texas and Mexico.
