Keasbey, New Jersey-based Price Rite Marketplace celebrated its associates Feb. 22 on Supermarket Employee Day – a day proclaimed by FMI – The Food Industry Association to recognize grocery workers for their commitment to feeding families and enriching lives.

Team members from 46 Price Rite Marketplace stores were acknowledged for the essential role each plays in providing service to the communities Price Rite stores serve. They received a free lunch, $25 gift cards and letters of thanks from the company’s leaders.

Leadership and support teams also visited stores to thank employees.

The recognition was a follow-up to the company’s annual meeting celebration in January, when Aaron Hunter of the Price Rite Marketplace in Hamden, Connecticut, was named Store Manager of the Year.

Hunter received a trophy and gift certificate for driving sales growth, team member engagement, community involvement, training and development and support. At that same meeting, dozens of Price Rite store managers were recognized for their achievements in 2024.

“Our team’s dedication to delivering exceptional service is the heart of our success. We are incredibly grateful for their hard work and commitment, both in our stores and throughout the communities we serve,” said Kevin McDonnell, president.

“On Supermarket Employee Day, we proudly celebrate and thank every Price Rite Marketplace employee for their invaluable contributions.”

Price Rite Marketplace, a registered trademark of the New Jersey-based supermarket cooperative Wakefern Food Corp., offers associates many employee benefits year-round, including entertainment and tuition discounts and scholarship opportunities.
