Sunbury, Pennsylvania-based Weis Markets has launched its second annual Great Grape Event, which offers customers more than 15 varieties of grapes grown in California and the American South. The program runs through September.
“The typical American supermarket sells five varieties of grapes, but since it’s the best time of year for grapes, we have decided to offer our customers increased variety, including Sweet Sapphires, Razzles, Dazzles and Scuppernongs,” said Kevin Weaver, director of produce, Weis Markets. “These are some of the best grapes you never tasted.”
During the Great Grape Event of 2022, Weis Markets produce departments will sell a variety of grape varieties, such as Razzle Red Seedless, Dazzle Green Seedless, Kissy Pop, Candy Snap, Black Seedless, Concord, Red Globe, Muscadine/Scuppernong, Candy Heart, Candy Dream and Sweet Sapphire.
In addition to these varieties, Weis Markets will also carry organic red, green and black seedless grapes, as well as a mixed bag of Razzle Red Seedless and Dazzle Green Seedless grapes.
