Ocean Garden Products Inc., the California-based seafood company known for its wild caught and farm raised Mexican shrimp, has named Celso Lopez its new president and CEO.
Lopez has served until now as Ocean Garden’s CFO and has been with the company for 17 years. He has broad experience in multiple divisions of the company and has more than 20 years of experience in finance and operations functions in various management capacities throughout a diverse group of industries.
Lance Leonard, Ocean Garden’s former president and CEO, has taken a new role as a member of the board of directors and will continue to handle special projects for the company.
Additionally, James Charters, who has been with Ocean Garden for 39 years, has been appointed as VP of sales and marketing, heading all the company’s sales divisions in the Foodservice and Retail channels. Charters brings a lifelong wealth of experience in the seafood Industry nationwide and abroad.
Ocean Garden’s newly appointed leaders say they are excited to give continuity to the transformation of the company, several years in the making. Corporate headquarters are in San Diego, California. The company has direct sales offices throughout the continental United States and Mexico and sales agents represent the company’s products in Asia and Hawaii.
Ocean Garden’s products are sold to foodservice distributors (serving restaurant and retail trade), restaurant and supermarket chains.
