Burton's

Burtons Grill & Bar, a Massachusetts-based company dating back to 2005, has now grown into a hospitality destination with 10 full-service restaurant locations in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, South Carolina and Virginia. Burtons currently has aggressive growth plans, with seven more locations set to open in the next two years, including in three additional states.

Burtons Grill also opened a second concept, Red Heat Tavern, in March 2014, which now has two locations in Massachusetts. Red Heat Tavern is a casual restaurant with high ceilings, a wrap-around bar and an open kitchen featuring a unique style of cooking with a Josper charcoal broiler oven. The Burtons and Red Heat Tavern combined employ about 1,000 people.

Since opening its doors, the company has seen 4.4 percent growth in same-store sales—averaging $4.1 million annually. Its newest location will open in Alexandria, Virginia, in late February followed by new locations in Sterling, Virginia, Charlotte, North Carolina, Boca Raton, Florida, and Shrewsbury, Massachusetts.
