Mark, Donnie and Paul Wahlberg will officially open their third Boston-area Wahlburgers on Friday, Oct. 2, bringing their brand to Boston’s historic Fenway neighborhood. The new Wahlburgers will be located at 132 Brookline Avenue, just three blocks away from Fenway Park. The Fenway restaurant joins Wahlburgers in Hingham and Lynnfield—with another scheduled to open later this year in Terminal C at Logan Airport. Wahlburgers Fenway encompasses 4,200 s.f. on one level with a full bar and oversized outdoor patio. The interior décor, like other locations, features photos and mementos celebrating the family’s early years in Dorchester, Massachusetts, as well as architectural elements reflective of the neighborhood. Wahlburgers opened in Coney Island, New York, in September. Additional openings are slated for Terminal C at Toronto Pearson International Airport, Orlando, Philadelphia, New York, Las Vegas and cities in the Middle East—all subject to lease negotiations and construction schedules…
New York City’s first Chick-fil-A restaurant will open Saturday, Oct. 3, at the corner of West 37th Street and 6th Avenue in Midtown’s Garment District. The three-story, 5,000-s.f. restaurant is Chick-fil-A’s largest in the country and specifically designed for increased ordering, production and assembly capacities in order to meet high demand. To expedite the ordering process, restaurant team members will use iPads to take customer orders, ensuring meals will be ready once guests reach the counter…
The New Hampshire Lodging & Restaurant Association and its annual awards nominating committee is seeking nominations for restaurateur, chef, innkeeper, employee, allied member, educator, Green Giant and Lifetime Achievement Star of the Year. The Stars of the Industry Awards Dinner will be held Nov. 9 at the Sheraton Portsmouth Harborside in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
