Target continues to roll out its new TargetExpress brand with the opening of a store in the Highland Park neighborhood of St. Paul, Minnesota.
The 16,000-s.f. store caters to a community of families, empty-nesters and college students and includes a pharmacy and a robust organics section—the first of its kind at a TargetExpress.
The store also emphasizes other wellness-oriented items, along with Target staples such as clothing, sporting goods, small electronics, school supplies, home décor, cleaning supplies and jewelry.
Target is embracing the small-store model to reach more customers in urban areas, with plans to open five more TargetExpress stores nationwide by the end of 2015. Target’s smallest store is 12,000 s.f. and is located in San Francisco.
