Hannaford Supermarkets has named Tony Giunta from its location in Uxbridge, Massachusetts, as its 2025 Store Manager of the Year.
Giunta was selected from 188 Hannaford stores in New England and New York for his leadership, associate development and community involvement.
With 45 years of retail experience, he has built a reputation for developing strong teams, fostering a welcoming culture and delivering strong results.
“This recognition doesn’t just belong to me but to the incredible team in our Uxbridge store,” Giunta said. “Every day, our associates demonstrate how much they care – both in how they serve our customers and all they do for our community.
“I’m incredibly grateful to be part of a team that puts so much heart into everything they do.”
Giunta was recognized for his people-first leadership style, prioritizing associate development and mentorship. He has created a workplace where team members feel welcomed, valued and empowered to grow.
“Tony has a remarkable way of bringing out the best in his team, customers and the community,” said Andrea Nickerson, VP of retail operations at Hannaford.
“His leadership reflects the very best of Hannaford – fostering a culture of support, making a meaningful impact in the communities we serve and delivering an outstanding experience for our customers.”
Beyond the store, Giunta is involved in the Uxbridge community, supporting local organizations and volunteering. Most notably, he has helped foster a partnership with the People First Food Pantry, which receives regular food donations from the store.
