Toufayan Bakeries, the Ridgefield, New Jersey-based family-owned bakery, has made its full line of seed oil-free wraps available nationally and on Amazon. The wraps, made with avocado oil in place of traditional seed oils, come in five varieties: Classic, Whole Wheat, Sundried Tomato, Garlic Pesto and Savory Spinach.
The launch taps into growing consumer demand for products free of industrial seed oils such as soybean, canola and sunflower oil. Online search interest in “seed oil-free” has increased more than 60 percent over the past year, according to Google Trends data cited by the company.
“As a family-owned business, we care about what matters to families across the country,” said Karen Toufayan, VP of marketing. “When we saw rising interest in breads made without seed oils, we moved quickly to bake something delicious to meet that need.”
