Natural Grocers is expanding its private-label brand with Regenerative Organic Certified Pasture-Raised Eggs, a new offering that meets industry-leading standards for soil health, animal welfare and farmworker fairness. The eggs are available in a 12-count carton.
The eggs carry Regenerative Organic Certification as well as Certified Humane Raised & Handled designation. They come from pasture-raised hens that live outdoors and engage in natural behaviors including foraging and roaming on open land. The product meets the Gold Standard in Natural Grocers’ Egg Quality Ranking System.
“The Regenerative Organic Certification sets a rigorous bar for how food is grown and produced, and we’re proud to bring that level of integrity to our private-label eggs,” said Raquel Isely, VP of marketing at Natural Grocers.
“By working with farmers who follow regenerative practices, we’re supporting healthier soil, better animal welfare, and a more resilient food system, while delivering the quality our customers expect.”
The eggs are produced by small family farmers who follow a supplier-defined set of regenerative farming principles, with agricultural practices focused on soil health, biodiversity and carbon capture.
Natural Grocers is the only national retailer with a free-range egg standard as its minimum requirement for all eggs sold. The addition to its private label represents the top tier of the company’s egg quality hierarchy.
The launch continues steady growth of the Natural Grocers Brand Products portfolio, which has expanded to more than 900 items since debuting in 2016. Recent additions include four varieties of organic frozen ravioli and two new organic flavors in the company’s chocolate bar line, with additional products planned.
