The Marzetti Co. is introducing Marzetti Protein Ranch, a new line the company describes as a first-to-category innovation combining the taste of its traditional ranch with 3-4 grams of milk protein per serving and fewer calories than its standard ranch products.
The lineup spans 3 SKUs: Protein Ranch Dressing (13 oz. bottle), Protein Ranch Veggie Dip (12 oz. tub) and Protein Ranch Veggie Dip Snack Packs. All three will be available at major grocery stores nationwide beginning this spring.
“Protein has become a key priority for consumers, with the majority now paying close attention to how much protein they eat, more so than any other nutritional element,” said Tanya Berman, president of The Marzetti Co.’s retail business.
“Marzetti Protein Ranch allows shoppers to enjoy a familiar favorite with added functional benefits that fit into their everyday routines. For those who use ranch on everything, now everything can have more protein.”
The launch reflects broader consumer demand for protein-fortified options across grocery categories. Marzetti is betting that ranch – already one of the most versatile and high-velocity condiment segments – is a natural fit for the trend.
The dressing and dip formats position the line for use beyond the salad bowl, aligning with the growing consumer habit of using ranch as a dip, drizzle and flavor enhancer across snacking and meal occasions. The snack pack format targets on-the-go consumption.
Westerville, Ohio-based The Marzetti Co. has a 130-year history in the dressings and dips category. The company’s retail portfolio also includes New York Bakery garlic breads and Sister Schubert’s dinner rolls, along with exclusive license agreements for Olive Garden dressings, Chick-fil-A sauces and dressings, Buffalo Wild Wings sauces, Arby’s sauces, Subway sauces, and Texas Roadhouse steak sauces and frozen rolls.
