H-E-B completed its remodeled Hancock Center store at 1800 East 41st St. in Austin, Texas. The store now totals 124,000 square feet following a 31,000-square-foot expansion and features a range of new and enhanced departments. photo of exterior of H-E-B Hancock Center store

The Hancock Center H-E-B includes H-E-B Curbside and Home Delivery, a full-service H-E-B Pharmacy, a True Texas BBQ restaurant with indoor seating, a Healthy Living Department and an H-E-B Wellness Primary Care Clinic.

New and expanded features in the remodeled store include:

True Texas BBQ Restaurant: The new on-site restaurant features indoor seating and a menu with more than 200 options, including smoked meats, sandwiches, loaded baked potatoes and Prime brisket. All meats are smoked on-site around the clock under the care of a certified pitmaster.

Meal Simple Department: The expanded department carries a wider selection of fresh, convenient meals prepared in-store – from grab-and-go to ready-to-cook options. The new layout includes dedicated space for Low Carb and Higher Harvest items as well as seasonal offerings.

Sushiya: In addition to sushi handmade in-store daily, the Sushiya section now includes Hot Asian Grill options featuring rice bowls, teriyaki and more.

Produce, Bakery, Deli, Market and Seafood: The expanded departments offer a broader selection of local produce, scratch-baked breads and pastries, deli selections, an upgraded Meat Market with USDA Choice and Prime cuts and an expanded fresh and ready-to-cook seafood section.

Grocery and General Merchandise: Customers will find a larger selection in Dairy, Frozen and Pet – including an expanded refrigerated pet food section. Drugstore and General Merchandise departments have been updated with a wider selection, along with refreshed Kitchen and Seasonal areas.

Beer and Wine: The expanded department carries a wider selection of local, national and international options. A wine steward is available to assist shoppers, and in-store tasting stations provide the opportunity to explore new varieties.

Healthy Living: The department includes bulk food bins with nuts, grains, dried fruit and snack mixes, a range of vitamins and sports nutrition items and an expanded lineup of cold beverages.

H-E-B Curbside: The expanded department now includes additional dedicated parking spaces.

San Antonio-based H-E-B operates more than 455 stores in Texas and Mexico and employs more than 175,000 partners. The company celebrates its 120th anniversary in 2026.
