SpartanNash, a member of the C&S Wholesale Grocer’s (C&S) family of companies, recently celebrated the grand reopening of its remodeled Family Fare at 1181 W. Randall St. in Coopersville, Michigan.

“We’re thrilled to debut this updated Family Fare in conjunction with Coopersville High School’s senior night,” said Jay Mahabir, VP of retail operations, SpartanNash.

“The updated layout and new features are designed to make shopping smoother, faster and more enjoyable – and with personalized touches just for the Coopersville community. Shoppers will see a noticeable difference with Family Fare’s quality, convenience and freshness.”

The store delivers a market-style shopping experience with new features, including:

  • An expanded produce section at the front, welcoming customers with quality, freshness and a broad assortment of cut fruit and parfaits;
  • Enhanced deli offerings, including grab-and-go items, Mexican-inspired meal solutions and fresh-prepared sandwiches and wraps;
  • Fresh bread and doughnut offerings – all made in-store daily;
  • Nostalgic candy bar with seasonal offerings;
  • Elevated selection of frozen foods, dairy and liquor;
  • Great values throughout the store, including Our Family products and “Made in Michigan” sections to highlight local growers and producers;
  • Updated self-checkout areas; and
  • Family Fare Rewards with member-exclusive prices, personalized savings and digital coupons.

Family Fare leveraged store-level category analytics and consulted with employees and shoppers to help localize the assortment for Coopersville.

As a result, the offerings have been updated, including a new assortment of Coopersville Broncos apparel, a more extensive yogurt selection in the dairy aisle, additional coffee and specialty beverage options, sushi prepared daily and a seasonal destination for each holiday.

To celebrate the grand reopening, families enjoyed a tailgate-themed celebration with food, games and treats served by the Our Family food truck.

“Coopersville is where we work – and it’s where we live, shop and cheer together,” said Shane Mast, store director. “This remodel is about giving back to the community that supports us every day. We’re proud to create a space that feels like home and brings people together.”

As part of the festivities, the store team presented a $5,000 donation to nonprofit Coopersville Cares.

Next, SpartanNash will be unveiling a remodeled Family Fare on Nov. 12 in Byron Center, Michigan.
