Festival Foods is kicking off peak cherry season by hosting the largest display of the fruit in company history.
On July 16, the De Pere, Wisconsin, Festival Foods location will unveil a 9-foot wide, 30-foot long, 6-foot-high mountain of fresh cherries grown and hand-picked by family farms in the Pacific Northwest.
Shoppers can view the cherry display in-store and on Festival Foods’ social media pages. In addition, they can enter a contest to guess how many cherries were used in the display. The four closest guesses each will win a $50 Festival Foods gift card.
The event is a partnership with Superfresh Growers, a premium grower and shipper of Northwest cherries, and Crazy Fresh, produce partner to Festival Foods.
Shoppers also will have the opportunity to meet Dave Gleason, Superfresh Growers’ horticulturist and grower, who will be on site from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. July 16 to offer samples, share insights and field questions.
“We couldn’t be more excited to bring this spectacular cherry display to De Pere,” said Andrew Brehmer, senior director of produce and floral at Festival Foods.
“It’s a testament to our commitment to celebrating high-quality seasonal produce. Working alongside Crazy Fresh and Superfresh Growers, we’re proud to highlight the story and quality behind every cherry.”
