Hoshizaki America Inc. small KM icemakers are now manufactured in Peachtree City, Georgia. The self-contained ice machines range in ice production from 75 to 290 lbs. daily and stores 38 to 100 lbs. of individual, crescent cubes within the built-in ice bin.
Hoshizaki has transferred manufacturing of seven under-counter, self-contained icemakers models (KM-301BAJ, KM-301BWJ, KM-231BAJ, KM-161BAJ, KM-161BWJ, KM-116BAJ, KM-81BAJ) from Hoshizaki, China, to a facility in Peachtree City, Georgia.
“Our recent expansion and improvements in production flexibility have given us the opportunity to manufacturer the small KM icemakers models right here in Peachtree City,” said Brad Powell, Hoshizaki America’s VP of manufacturing. “We started manufacturing the KM-301BAJ on May 20 of this year and will complete the lineup this month.”
All seven model names have changed, increasing by one digit; this will aid to identify the manufacturing change to the U.S. Other than that, the icemakers remain largely unchanged.
All small KM icemakers produce individual, crescent shape ice cubes, have exteriors constructed of stainless steel, are compliant with the American’s with Disabilities Act (ADA) and stand 39 inches tall with the included 6-inch legs. Before removing the legs for a true under-counter profile, check local health codes for additional installation requirements. Hoshizaki America also warranties the entire machine parts and labor for three years and the compressor for five years.
