The International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA) and its member companies participated in the 148th White House Easter Egg Roll, bringing fresh produce and floral displays to one of the nation’s most recognized traditions.
Held annually on the South Lawn, the White House Easter Egg Roll dates back to 1878 and is the largest public event hosted at the White House each year. This year’s event also incorporated patriotic themes tied to America’s 250th birthday celebration.
“IFPA is honored to help bring fresh produce and florals to the White House Easter Egg Roll – one of our nation’s most historic traditions,” said IFPA CEO Cathy Burns. “This celebration is about connecting with families where memories are made, and showing how fresh fruits, vegetables and flowers can be a simple, affordable and joyful part of the day.”
As part of the festivities, IFPA members created several interactive experiences for attendees, including a Bloom Bar where guests assembled their own floral bouquets and a Joy of Fresh Farmer’s Market featuring fresh produce snacks for children and families. The organization also created spring-themed photo opportunities, including a vegetable arch and a patriotic produce-and-floral flag display.
Member companies supplying fresh vegetables included Grimmway Produce Group, L&M and WP Rawl, while healthy snack donations came from SugarBee Apples, Grimmway Produce Group, Gem-Pack Berries, Duda Farm Fresh Foods, CMI Orchards and DNO Produce. Floral contributions were provided by Sunshine Bouquet, gems, Passion Growers, The Elite Flower, The Queen’s Bouquet Network, Continental Floral Greens, Mellano and Glad-A-Way Gardens, with floral sleeves donated by Decowraps. Armellini Logistics and Keany Produce & Gourmet supported supply chain and logistics efforts for the event.
IFPA said its participation reflects the organization’s ongoing focus on promoting healthy eating, increasing access to fresh produce and celebrating the role of fruits, vegetables and flowers in family traditions year-round.
