Natural Grocers will open a new store this summer at 448 OR-99W in McMinnville, Oregon, marking the retailer’s 15th location in the state and its first in the Willamette Valley.
McMinnville is known for its close-knit community, historic downtown and strong agricultural roots – a natural fit for Natural Grocers’ focus on community engagement and quality organic and natural products.
The company is moving quickly on staffing and community outreach ahead of the opening. A virtual hiring fair is scheduled for April 8, with time slots available from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. MST. Based on position and experience, crew members at the McMinnville store can expect to earn $18-$24 an hour. A full-time store manager can earn up to $80,000 annually and an assistant store manager up to $60,000.
Natural Grocers is also hosting a community meet-and-greet from 4-6 p.m. April 15 at the Red Lion Inn in McMinnville (located at 2535 NE Cumulus Ave.). The event will introduce residents to the company’s five founding principles, its differentiators in the grocery industry and its approach to customer service, followed by a question-and-answer session. Registration is available through Facebook Events.
Founded in 1955 and headquartered in Lakewood, Colorado, Natural Grocers operates 169 stores in 21 states with more than 4,000 crew members. The company sells only USDA-certified organic produce and exclusively pasture-raised, non-confinement dairy products and free-range eggs.
