Big Y Foods will hold a local partner information session from 2-4 p.m. May 13 at its store support center in Springfield, Massachusetts.

The event, titled “Let’s Talk Local: Partner with Big Y,” is designed to connect area businesses with the family-owned grocer to explore supplier partnership opportunities.

The session is part of Big Y’s broader commitment to regional sourcing. The retailer has partnered with local suppliers for decades to bring differentiated, high-quality products and services to customers across its Northeast footprint.

Attendees will hear from Big Y team members about the initial review process, what information may be requested if there is mutual interest and how partnerships develop from store launch through ongoing collaboration. The discussion will also cover service expectations, communication standards, product presentation and sales performance benchmarks.

“Local partnerships are an important part of how we serve our communities,” said Mike Cormier, SVP of sales and marketing. “This event will give businesses insight into how our partner process begins and how we work together over time to support long-term success.”

Businesses that advance through the review process are guided through formal onboarding requirements including documentation, insurance and item details. Once launched, partners work directly with store teams on merchandising, service and continued growth.

Local businesses interested in attending can register at Big Y’s local partner page.
