Riviana Foods Inc., the largest rice processor and distributor in the United States, is rolling out a new restaurant-style Sticky Rice under its Success Boil-in-Bag brand. The product is now available for distribution across the Eastern U.S., with nationwide expansion planned.
The launch targets growing consumer demand for globally inspired meals that are easy to prepare at home. Success Boil-in-Bag Sticky Rice cooks in 12 minutes after the water reaches a boil, using the brand’s no-measure, no-mess bag format.
“From viral recipes to celebrity-chef inspired menus, sticky rice is having a moment,” said Erica Larson, Director of Marketing at Riviana Foods. “Success Rice is making it easier than ever to make perfect sticky rice at home with its low-effort boil-in-bag. Home cooks now have a simple and foolproof way to recreate their favorite restaurant-quality dishes.”
The product ships in a 14 oz. box containing four bags with 2 servings per bag. It carries Non-GMO Project Verified, Kosher and Gluten Free certifications and contains no preservatives or additives. The product accommodates vegan and vegetarian diets.
Riviana is positioning the SKU as a base ingredient for poke bowls, sushi, stir fry and desserts. Distribution began in April at select Eastern retailers. Store availability can be checked at successrice.com/where-to-buy.
The Sticky Rice addition rounds out the Success Boil-in-Bag lineup, which includes pre-cooked White Rice, whole grain Brown Rice, Tri-Color Quinoa, Thai Jasmine, Indian Basmati, and Pearl Couscous.
