The Family Fare in Harrison, Michigan, has completed a store refresh, delivering an updated shopping experience for residents and visitors ahead of a busy spring and summer season.
The remodel, finished in time for the community’s St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, introduces expanded meat, produce and floral departments with greater variety and more convenient access to fresh essentials. The updated store also features refreshed deli and bakery spaces, along with a nostalgic candy and soda section that blends classic favorites into the new layout.
The grand reopening was marked with a kid-led ribbon cutting and a check presentation to Harrison Community Schools. The store’s community partnerships extend to Clare County 4-H and local veterans organizations.
“Family Fare has always been part of how Harrison celebrates, shops and comes together,” said Melynda Kosinski, store director. “This refresh is our way of reinvesting in this community, while giving shoppers state-of-the-art departments and in-store experiences that match how they shop today.”
As the town’s primary grocery destination for residents and seasonal visitors, the Harrison Family Fare is now positioned for the season ahead.
Family Fare Supermarkets have been serving families in Michigan and beyond for more than 60 years, with community-minded stores offering budget-friendly options and weekly specials. Family Fare is a member of the C&S family of companies. C&S Wholesale Grocers acquired the Harrison location from SpartanNash in 2025. C&S operates more than 200 corporate-run grocery stores under banners including D&W Fresh Market, Grand Union, Family Fare, Martin’s Super Markets and Piggly Wiggly.
